INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCED STUDIES, VIENNA Since June 1, 2012, Christian Keuschnigg is director of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) in Vienna. He remains a professor of economics at the University of St. Gallen and a director of FGN-HSG. Employment at the University of St. Gallen is reduced to 50%. IAS specializes in theoretical and empirical research in economics and other social sciences and is Austria's premier postgraduate research and training institute since its founding in 1963.

Christian Keuschnigg was appointed associate editor of the Empirical Economics.
Associate Editor, FinanzArchiv/Public Finance Analysis (1.1.2013)
From 2009 to end of 2012, Christian Keuschnigg served as an editor of FinanzArchiv/Public Finance Analysis which is one of the world's oldest professional journals in public finance, founded in 1884. Since January 2013 he is associate editor of FA.
Chairman of the Public Finance Group, German Economic Association (5.6.2009)
At the annual meeting on June 6, 2009, in Leipzig, Christian Keuschnigg was voted chairman of the public finance group for a two year period, starting June 2009. After reelection, his term ends in June 2013.
